as for youngdurian, he is a firestarter - you can see him in most property blogs, not just here. trust him at your own peril!
he makes the most embarassing comments and if he is penangite, then it's a shame to have him. you can obviously make out statements like foam walls, website not up, other developers do it so why not this developer, and all sorts of negativity everywhere and in all blogs. what's his motive? I suggest u email to tophill@email.com or greg22@loveable.com to find out. this is the email that he uses to SOURCE for property. So that may perhaps explain his modus operandi.
May i also add that websites are marketing tools and if the place is selling, then you don't need it. The developer is graded based on the ability to build properties, not website!
Final words to youngdurian is that your narrow-mindedness, your sense of understanding or perhaps even your IQ is a huge damn disgrace to penang!

has anyone visit the site lately? I noticed that the pool deck is very small as a super condo design. Somemore I was told by a famous lady agent in town that Super condo is not worth investing because of the high cost and nobody wil pay that kind of rental of say RM8K to RM12K.
oh ya, i also noticed that the two towers is entirely under the afternoon sun from 1pm to 7pm. It is going to be very hot inside your house.

The lower part of the building's been painted. Soon it will be ready.
It seems that this project has some land title issue now that the High Court has revert its decision on the rightful land owner. This project land is the Adorna vs. Boonsom case that being mentioned in the Star today 22/1/2010.
I have spoken to my lawyer and confirmed the Tan Ying Hong case have no impact on this project.
By the way, I got the latest news that the beach in front of the project is being severely eroded by even a normal sea wave as published in the Sun newspaper dated 3rd Feb 2010 (Wed).
It seems,land title may be solved, but the nature still have the problem.
If hanging out at the beach is a favourite pasttime, that may be an issue. On the other hand, when the project was sold, the developers make clear that the beach is still public property.
To be frank, the beach strip is very narrow and insignificant to start with, and I doubt if it is a major factor for most. If it is, then perhaps it may be an issue.
However if you are just after the views from the apartment etc, it should have minimal impact as long as the erosion has no impact on the structural integrity of the development as it goes inland.

oh, so this is the project with the land fraud issue. sounds risky, no wonder it looks almost deserted even after OC obtained. and speaking of soil erosion, it does look dangerous to me, as there is actually a small stream of river running beside it. it really took me by surprise when i found out a few years back that someone was going to build a high-rise on top of this small piece of mangrove land.

I think Infinity is a very best project. It's luxury, modern, and the main problem is only the price. It's so expensive..... Only the riches can afford. For me, it will be very proud if I can have a piece of it. I went there 2 weeks ago. Inside it's so nice and luxury. All the high end project around Tanjung Bungah, Tnajung Tokong all sold out like peanuts. Infinity is also almost sold out. It's only 119 total units. About the land fraud you were talking about, what is it about. From the previous comment I read that the lawyer said it's not impact to this project rite ? The erosion ? It's not a big issue if you take a look on others beach front project around this area. Yeah... If I have a lot of money, It will be no doubt for me to purchase one too. Since I'm not that rich so what I can do is just watch from outside the rich people enjoy their stay there....
I have seen the finished work pictures and it's excellent to be frank.
What type of land you build on is not a major issue if the foundation is properly setup. The architect was a well-known firm from Singapore.
Basically the case about the land fraud is that someone with the same name as the real owner claim the land and sold it. The case has already been appealed to the highest level in the Court of Appeal and all legal recourse is exhausted.

Anyone been to the beach there ?
It is so filthy, as it lies at the estuary of the small river.
I wonder why some rich guy (since only the rich could afford it) would wanna stay at such filthy beach. Basically you can take the "Beachfront" out of the property name, as it has little value. Seaview would be more appropriate.
Furthermore, this property is sued by Menara Asas, a property across the street, because they encroaches on Menara Asas land, due to their piping of sewerage to the Menara Asas site, instead of building their own sewage processing plant.
It looks like this developer always gets itself tangled up in land disputes.

Hunza quality sucks..In alila, lobby fountain was leaking since 2009 and it was switched off. Until today, they did not fix it and it looks like they are just buying time to wash their hands when strata title issued sometime this year. When ask, their answer were always the same for past 2 years…”waiting for top management approval and consultant report..Its may 2011 and still nothing..
Floor titles of many units cracked in 2009 as well…

The article mentions correctly that the decision allows them to depart from the precedent set in the Adorna vs Boonsom case. But for the case itself, the last legal recourse has already been exhausted and the decision is final. There is *no* dispute ongoing or current with the land.
Hunza has been amazing with the property so far. They have acceded to a lot of requests even those that go beyond what they are legally contracted to provide. Being a property owner here and in other countries, I can state that they have been one of the better developers I have dealt with.
There is still a legal dispute ongoing with developer of Infinity.
It is by the apartment across the street, Menara Asas.
Apparently the developer is so cheapskate that they don't even build their own sewerage plant, but pipe the sewerage all the way across the street to Menara Asas.
In the process of doing so, they further encroached on the land belonging to Menara Asas.
Obviously this developer think they can get away with anything, after the fraudulent purchase of the land Infinity is built on.
This developer is terrible. See how they take off the skin of the hundred years old trees (2 trees) along Kelawai road? its obvious they intend to kill these trees....
